When you think about keeping your office fresh, clean, and healthy for your visitors, it’s important to pay attention to more than just the floors, furniture, and surfaces. Some of the most touched items in any commercial building are the doors – and even if you can’t see smudges or fingerprints due to a dark surface, the germs are definitely hiding.
It certainly won’t take much for your trusted cleaning company to make sure your doors are just as clean and disinfected as other surfaces in your office, because the right one will have the proper supplies and knowledge on hand. But if you’d like to be proactive and keep them clean in between scheduled visits, all you’ll need is the following:
- Disinfectant cleaner
- Microfiber cloth
- Antibacterial spray for cold/flu seasons
Remember that you may need to use a little elbow grease on particularly dirty areas, but make sure not to scrub or wipe too hard that the paint or wood beneath starts to fleck off or splinter.
It’s no secret that the doorknob is the most-touched aspect of a door – but did you know there’s other areas you need to pay attention to as well? It’ll only take a moment to make sure you clean these places too:
- Top of door frame
- Outside edge of door frame (often grasped just as often as a door handle!)
- Any window or glass the door may have
By following these steps, your visitors and clients will be greeted by an environment that’s not only beautiful and clean, but healthy too!
